2011 Kenjutsu Seminar
August 19 through 21
Shimabukuro Hanshi and the Kokusai Nippon Budo Kai (KNBK) are proud to announce a special seminar with Sasamori Takemi Soke,17th Grandmaster, for a full weekend of instruction and training in Ono-ha Itto-ryu Kenjutsu.
This is truly a unique and rare opportunity to train in one of the most respected traditional styles of kenjutsu outside of Japan.
Shimabukuro Hanshi would like to invite all martial artists to this open seminar who are interested in experiencing Ono-ha Itto-ryu and deepening their study of kenjutsu.
Membership in the KNBK is not required to attend. This open invitation is intended to be an opportunity and gateway for budoka wishing to continue to pursue the study of Ono-ha Itto-ryu by establishing their own direct relationships with Sasamori Soke.
This event will be a full three days of training on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, August 19 thru 21 at the University of California, San Diego campus. Training with Sasamori Soke will cover basics and paired kata, along with special discussion sessions each day to cover questions on history, philosophy, techniques, and strategy of Ono-ha Itto-ryu.
